AUD/NZD hits 3-week high

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The Australian dollar edged higher against its New Zealand counterpart in the Asian morning, reaching fresh three-week high levels.

Currently, the AUD/NZD pair a fresh three week high at 1.0573 levels, up 0.63% on the day, having posted day’s low at 1.0528 in the early Asian morning. The cross in AUD/NZD climbed higher largely after the New Zealand dollar plunged to fresh two and half year lows versus the US counterpart on increased US dollar demand as Asia returned after year-end holidays.

The NZD/USD pair trades now at 0.7626, down -1% on the day. While AUD/USD trades at 0.8058, down -0.41% on the day.

AUD/NZD Technical Levels

The pair has an immediate resistance at 1.0588 (Dec 18 High) levels, above which gains could be extended to 1.0608 (Dec 17 High) levels. On the flip side, support is seen at 1.0511 (20-DMA) levels, from here it to below 1.0487 (10-DMA) levels.

AUD/USD selling resumes, 0.8050 eyed

AUD/USD is pressing against session lows once again, currently at 0.8062, following a topside failure at the 0.81 handle, as a second wave of USD demand picks up across the board.
