UK: Annual Industrial Production rises more than expected in June
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Year-over-year UK Industrial Production grew by 1.2% in June, following a 2.3% drop in May, National Statistics informed on Tuesday. This is a more positive result that the forecasted 0.6% increase. UK Industrial Production rose by 1.1% between May 2013 and June 2013, after remaining unchanged between April 2013 and May 2013 and above expectations of a 0.7% rise.
On an annual basis UK Manufacturing Production climbed 2% in June, after decreasing 2.9% in May and above expectations of a 0.9% increase. Between May 2013 and June 2013 UK Manufacturing Production rose 1.9%, following a 0.7% drop between April 2013 and May 2013 and a notch higher than market consensus of 0.9% growth.
