US private sector adds 153,000 jobs in December, ADP says

US private sector created 153,000 new jobs in December, the Automatic Data Processing, Inc reported Thursday.

This reading comes below the 216,000 jobs created in November (downwardly revised from 250,000) while analysts were expecting 170,000 new jobs.

On Friday, the US Labor Department will release the official NFP report, which is expected to show employment increased by 175,000 in December.
