Fed's Yellen makes no comments on monetary policy

FXStreet (Bali) - Fed's Yellen did not make any comment on monetary policy outlook during her prepared remarks at small business event.

Yellen said that "even though the economy has made progress since the recession there is still a ways to go until its back to full health", adding "businesses with fewer than 250 employees have created slightly more than half the jobs since employment began growing again in 2010."

Yellen also said that " their contribution highlights the fact that job growth has been almost exclusively from the private sector as the public sector has shed jobs even during the recovery." Lastly, Yellen said that "the Fed intends to end bond buying this fall."
